This has been a long time coming and it has been COMPLETELY worth the wait, as excruciating as it has been! 
My first visit to the Dominican Republic was in 2011 and since that time I have been praying that God would make a way for me to return and it has finally happened. When you have travelled to a place before, you risk so much comparison… will it be as meaningful? I don’t want it to be different! Will all the people I remember still be there? And the answer… 100% YES! 

Though very different than the last time I was here, this has been an amazing experience. I always remembered the people in the DR as caring and loving and open hearted, and I was not mistaken. From Pastora, who has welcomed us into her home and Igleisa every day; to LuzMery and LuisAngel who smile and run and say “Yenifer” every time I see them in Cuesta Arena. I have been greeted by the most loving and selfless people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
