Sept 30, 2018 Christ Venice

Yesterday the team arrived in the morning and safely got through customs with all of the medication. We unloaded at La Islita (our sleeping location) and headed to Pastora Sairy’s house to each lunch. Lunch was Sancocho, a typical Dominican dish. We returned to La Islita to sort through the medications and have some time to rest. We returned for dinner and then back to La Islita to sleep.

This morning we woke up and headed to eat breakfast then off to church. The children from Los Cocos and La Otra Banda prepares presentations for the worship service. We headed to lunch and then out to Cuesta Arena. Part of the team set up the clinic and part began construction on the fence for the playground. We got most of the posts for the fence set in concrete and will work today to put up the rest of the fence. The clinic opens today in Cuesta Arena to begin passing medicine and serving those in the area.
