June 6- Hannah, Preston, Devon
We took our last cold showers. We promised Devin he would get in the water, at the waterfall. And he promised he wouldn’t. But he did, we got him in the water.
The waterfall we went to was something none of us had ever seen before, the walk up with all the mountains is something you wouldn’t see in the States. As we were walking up, a Dominican snake slithered across Jonathan’s foot. The water was freezing but nonetheless beautiful. After that mental break and a time to just breath in the basics of the country. We came back to where we had stayed the whole week and met two members of the church we worked through during the week, to remind us of the work we had done. And the really reason we needed to come to this country. Which was to help others be able to experience the basic things we tend to take for granted
