February 16, 2013- Jessica

Hola, Jessica here again to tell y’all about today. I woke up this morning sleepy, but awake enough to get out of bed and get ready for today. I got everything ready and packed an extra shirt in my bag for Youth group that just happened at 7pm. I didn’t paint today, instead I went souvenir shopping for my friends and family at home as well as a few people here in the Dominican. Then we all went shopping for decorations for the church. When we all got back lunch was prepared for us.  After we were done eating, we headed back to the church to decorate. The decorations consisted of a Valentines theme. Bob and the church choir were practicing for what they were going to play for tomorrow at church. They sounded great! I was very impressed with the Dominican music that they choose to preform, it sounded wonderful. After that it was youth group, Sarah helped me with the translating that was being said, and helped me communicate with the few others who are apart of the youth group.  My espanol is still rough but it is getting better. I still can’t have a full conversation yet, but I’m hoping to be able to before I head home on Thursday. Though, youth group was a very interesting experience for me, and I’m glad that I attended with Sarah, and I’m thankful that she was there with me, or else I would of just been sitting there all confused. If I come next year, I shall be better prepared! Haha (: Today’s weather conditions, very hot!  Well, I am very exhausted and hungry, so I bid y’all the fairest of goodnights and sweet dreams.
