Returning to the States Early- November 3, 2012
As many of you know I have been battling a bacterial skin infection since September. I have been on various rounds of antibiotics, including daily injections. After 2 months, 3 rounds of antibiotics, and 6 plus infections, I have decided to return to the states for treatment. In my previous blogs I have written about my frustration with the infection and it is with the same frustration that I am returning home. The same week I was forced to make this decision, the money for the water finally came through and work restarted. The contractor visited the site Wednesday and the materials should be delivered this upcoming week.
I have complete trust in the people of the community and the church to continue and complete the projects. The school will continue to run under the administration of the teacher, the aid, and the Pastora. The community will take responsibility for the construction of the cistern. I know God’s plan is greater than an annoying infection and maybe it is better there are no “Americans” during the completion of the water system.
As I return to the states for treatment, I will continue to work on the projects. I hope to make a large shipment of supplies the school needs the first part of December. I am looking for donations of preschool toys and other items on our wish list. If you would like to get your church involved, please contact me and I can give you more information. Thank you again for all of your prayers and support!
