July 18, 2014- First UMC Lakeland

Today the group worked in Cuesta Arena. They took down two trees to prepare for the fence to go across the front of the property. They also prepared the side fence to begin concreting tomorrow. Nicole worked with 14 women doing yoga and teaching them about loving their body and surrendering to God. The youth did an amazing job hanging out and playing with the kids. A few took a walk and visited their homes. In the afternoon we headed to the city to do VBS. After singing songs and doing a short lesson, we walked around the block to invite kids to come the next day. We then had some time before dinner so we headed to the monument and learned about the history of the Dominican Republic. We will be able to post a blog tomorrow but it was not quite finished!.
